Despite rather poor weather conditions, 12 volunteers made an excellent job of improving a very steep footpath at Wistley Hill, near Cheltenham. The route is part of the 102 mile long distance trail, The Cotswold Way, running along the Cotswold escarpment from Chipping Campden in the North to Bath in the South. It is currently being upgraded to National Trail status.

We were very fortunate to have working with us for the whole day, the Cotswold Way Development Officer and the Works Manager who between them guided and advised volunteers. In addition to work on the path, a waymark post was re-positioned to make route finding clearer for walkers. This post is to the standard design used on all National Trails depicting an acorn symbol, together with way mark arrow.
