Winter News 2010

Welcome to the Winter task programme. An excellent range of tasks has been arranged over the coming months. They provide a great opportunity to meet people whilst doing something useful in the fresh air during the dark winter months!

One important piece of news is that the tools have a new home. After 15 plus years with Jeff, Barry P has now kindly agreed to look after the tools for the foreseeable future. Task leaders will need to contact Barry to make arrangements to collect them. Many thanks to Jeff for looking after them for such a long period of time and to Barry for agreeing to take them on.

It is encouraging that we are still attracting new volunteers out on tasks. Long may it continue. For those who have been with the group for a while and would like a fresh challenge we are always on the look out for new leaders as mentioned in numerous previous newsletters. Some fresh blood is always welcome and helps ensure that we can continue to run projects on a regular basis. Pairing up with a more experienced leader is a good way of learning the ropes and gaining experience.

Elsewhere in the newsletter are details of forthcoming socials including our possible Christmas meal at the Royal George at Birdlip, towards the end of January.
